New Rockstar Romance Spotlighted on What To Read After Fifty Shades of Gray

My books are spotlighted this week as a part of the awesome facebook group What to Read After Fifty Shades of Gray! One of the books is an all-new release: Rocking Her Curves: Asher and Trixie Book One, only 99 cents right now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Rocking Her Curves

What’s your temptation?

Asher just broke up with his long-distance girlfriend. When he meets Trixie, he’s smitten by her curves – but she’s the lead singer for the opening band: strictly off-limits.

Trixie can’t help but be attracted to the tall, handsome skater who plays music with such passion. There’s no way that he would be interested in someone who isn’t a rail-thin model, would he? Anyway, she’s heard that he has a girlfriend: strictly off-limits.

When their paths collide – literally – they’re forced to look temptation in the face and ask themselves: What do I really want?

Excerpt:
“Ohhh,” she moaned, trying to encourage him.

“Are you okay?” he asked, pulling away. She pulled him back into a deep kiss, her tongue thrusting into his mouth greedily.

“Yes,” she whispered. “I want you to take me.”

Jack renewed his petting with a reinvigorated fervor. As he lay beside her, kissing her with gusto, she realized that he was waiting for her to make the next move. As always. It didn’t matter. She needed to relieve the ache inside of her. She sat up and pulled her dress off, and Jack followed suit, his shirt falling crumpled to the floor. He switched off the light so that the only hint of brightness came from the crack of the door out in the living room.

A sharp stab of frustration lanced through Trixie’s body. Why? Why did it always have to be dark? Always like this, with only a sliver of light playing over her body. She loved her body, loved the curves that led from her arms down to her hips. She loved the roundness of her ass when she craned her neck to peer over her shoulder into the mirror. Sometimes she would dance naked in the morning to the slow jazz songs that echoed through her body. Jazz was perfection, especially in the early hours when nobody else was awake in the world but her. Swaying in the reflection, she would wave her arms, swing her hips from side to side and pretend that she was a dancer in a burlesque troupe.

Now Jack moved in the darkness next to her, placing his hand on her chest, and she wished she could see his hand cupping the fullness of her breast, the tender soft skin and the faint border of darkness that separated her nipple from the skin around it. But no, no, it was always dark with him. If he was insecure about his own body, he never admitted it. He just preferred it this way, he said.

Fine. There was one positive aspect to the darkness, one benefit she found now that she had never known before. When Jack’s hand moved over her, she could pretend that it was someone else’s. She could pretend that she was spending the night with anybody, fantasize about any face in the dark of Jack’s room.

And there was only one person she wanted to spend the night with.

Unbidden, Asher’s face rose into her mind. She tried to push it aside but he kept returning. His bare chest, a sheen of sweat from skating.

Jack’s hands turned into his hands, the long fingers making their way across her body, hesitating. She grasped his arm and pulled him close. She could feel his hardness against her. Asher’s hardness. Asher’s body against hers. If she closed her eyes the fantasy became real.

New Release – Big Girl Proposal in Paris!!

As promised, the last in the Shannon and Julian series is out now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble! Only 99 cents for a limited time!

This book is told entirely from Shannon’s perspective, because it’s really been her story from the beginning. I loved writing this series and Julian and Shannon’s relationship has grown into something I couldn’t have imagined when I first started. This is a bit shorter than the other books because it’s all from Shannon’s viewpoint, but I included an epilogue that follows them through pieces of the rest of their European tour.

She’s caught between her dreams and reality.

Shannon is madly in love with Julian, but this time he’s gone too far. When he disappears from their hotel room in Paris, she’s on a mission to find out whether or not he can actually be trusted. Little does she know, he’s on a mission of his own…

The steamy last installment of Shannon and Julian’s story! The End… or is it just the beginning?

Pick it up now for only 99 cents at Amazon or Barnes and Noble!

What’s next? I’m going to tell Asher and Trixie’s story! Another BBW rock star romance, but this one will be quite a bit spicier, with a bit of BDSM goodness thrown into the mix. Asher is a sweet boy with a kinky heart, and I can’t wait to show you what happens with his own rock star crush… Make sure to sign up for my mailing list in order to get first dibs on the 99 cent sale when it comes out!

What’s the Darkest, Angstiest New Adult Romance You’ve Ever Read?

I like my new adult romance novels to be dark and angsty, and the darker and angstier the better. My new novel (which is only 99 cents still, and you’re a fool if you don’t buy it right now, a FOOL I tell you!) is pretty dang dark. Eliot is struggling to overcome the guilt caused by the car accident which killed his wife, and the flashback scene where she dies is gruesome.  And Brynn’s mother was murdered violently, but nobody knows how… or why… There’s a lot of angst to go around. I’d say on a scale from 1-10 Angstroms (the official measure of new adult romance angst), it’s about a 6.

I just read a new adult romance that was definitely at least a 9 Angstrom book. Maybe a 10. And OH MY GOD, it was great.

where I end

I’m not even going to tell you all of the dark stuff that happens, since that really would spoil the ending. But Bianca, the main character, starts off as an alcoholic, puking her guts out onto a classroom floor in the morning. And it just goes downhill from there. What makes this book an absolute must read in my opinion (besides the fact that it’s only 99 cents and you’d be a fool not to buy it right now, a FOOL I tell you!) is the writing. Gorgeous, emotional, 9-Angstrom writing. Here’s one of my favorite parts:

Everywhere I look there are hungry ghosts, and I am one of them. Perhaps we have all fallen into e gui dao, the realm of hungry ghosts, without even realizing it. So we wanted, all our desires brimming and simmering, full of hopes that will never be fulfilled, covered in wounds that will never be healed, needs that can never be met, our mouths opening and closing, mute and starving as we reach for each other, clinging, begging, wanting.
But we will never escape. We don’t even know we are dead.

Bestill my heart! The romance between Bianca and Daniel is a beautiful story of friends turned lovers, and the dark comedy and sarcasm in Bianca’s thoughts gives a sharp edge to the relationship blossoming between the two main characters. I am anxious for a sequel already. You hear me, Andra Brynn? A sequel! But until there is a sequel, you should all go buy the heck out of this one and read it.

My new novel Me, Cinderella? is on its way…

MeCinderella2

Sneak peek into the first chapter…

I bent down to pick up the nickels and got my first lucky break of the night. Right next to my shoe was a five dollar bill, just sitting on the floor! I picked it up reverently and looked around to see if there was anybody who might have dropped it, but the café was empty apart from me and the barista. She coughed and shifted her weight onto her back foot, evidently irritated at waiting for me to get my act together.

Five dollars! Five whole dollars! This was a windfall I couldn’t squander. I looked up at the café menu, my mouth watering at the possibilities. I had gotten into the habit of skipping dinner, but maybe today I could splurge and get a bagel. My stomach growled at the possibility. But no, I should wait and buy bagels at the store. Everything was overpriced here except the coffee.

I scanned the menu again and resigned myself to just the caffeine injection. It was enough to know that I could buy something if I wanted to. My eye wandered to the café window. The man was still sitting on the bench, as still as a statue. I could see his breath coming out in small white puffs, and for some reason my heart wrenched in my chest.

“Two coffees,” I said impulsively, handing the five dollar bill over to the barista. My hands trembled slightly as I picked up the cups. What was I doing?

I pushed open the door with my shoulder bravely and exited the warm cafe, one coffee in each hand. For an instant I wavered. What if he didn’t want it? What if he thought I was a weirdo? I set my shoulders and walked over to him. He must be freezing, sitting out in the cold.

“Here,” I said, offering him the steaming cup and putting on my most well-meaning smile. He looked up at me and my breath caught in my throat.

A scar ran down the right side of his cheek, the white seam visible all the way from his hairline to his chin. That wasn’t what made me gasp, though. Dark frowning eyebrows framed his piercing blue eyes and a shock of almost-black hair threatened to escape from under his wool cap. He was younger than I thought when I walked past him, probably less than ten years older than me. And handsome. I gulped.

He must have thought my reaction was to his scar, for he immediately angled his face away from mine, the white seam disappearing from my view. A defensive expression rose up on his face, and he looked at me suspiciously, one brow slanted up.

“Um, I thought you might want something to drink…” My words trailed off lamely as I held out the coffee to him. I never could talk around handsome men. His expression softened and he reached out to take the proffered cup.

“Thank you,” he said. The slightly accented words came out low, growling even, and as he took the cup, his long fingers brushed against mine. Again my heart jumped in my chest and I pushed down the strange feeling that was twisting up inside of my body. You don’t know who this man is, Brynn. He could be a serial killer, for all you know.

“You’re welcome,” I said, quickly pulling my hand back and wrapping it around my own coffee. The warmth spread through my fingers, but it was nothing compared to the electric heat that I had felt touching his hand. After a moment he tilted his head up toward me, and I realized I had been standing there in silence, just watching him.

“Is there something I can do for you?” he said.
